IXON Cloud 2.9.0

IXON Weekly update

  • Week 40 (04-10-2021 to 10-10-2021)
  • Webapp version: 2.9.0
  • API version 0.1.67 (details)

What is the IXON weekly update?
The IXON Cloud and IXON’s API are updated weekly with bug fixes, changes to the platform and new features. This weekly update informs you on everything that was added to, changed and fixed in the IXON platform this week.

This week we not only rolled out the features, improvements and fixes that you are used to. We’ve also deprecated an existing feature. The map view was removed from the IXON Cloud as part of a larger re-implementation of the Portal. The map view will return in a different format at a later stage.

Features

We’ve clarified the selection process of a data tag in the studio. You now have to first select the data source, then the data tag. You can use the selector to do so, or you can manually type the name of the data source and the identifier of the tag. By manually entering the identifier you can also add data tags that haven’t been created in the Fleet manager yet. When you type the information manually, you have to use the following format: <data-source-identifier>.tag.<tag-identifier>

Name versus identifier
Each data source can have multiple data tags with the same name. The IXON Cloud however has to know which data to show, which is where the Identifier comes in. The Identifier is a unique name, mostly similar to the actual name of the data tag.

Additionally, we’ve added an optional second y-axis to the line graph and live line graph widgets. This means that you can add additional values to the right side of the y-axis allowing you to get more information out of a single widget.

Improvements

  • Set a default MTU value in configuration files to prevent problems with certain providers
  • Improved performance of switching between pages
  • You can no longer edit the access rights of newly invited users that haven’t accepted their invitation yet

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with ‘Previous month’ range in pages
  • Fixed an issue that prevented CSV export from working for certain combinations of aggregators
  • Clarified the expiration date and process of Demo Devices
  • Fixed an issue with the default pull delay

Hi.

Do you have any timeframe on when the map will be back? and will it be possible to add map to pages?

Michael

Hi Michael,

we hope to reïntroduce an optimised version of this feature this year. We can’t make any promises or give you an exact date however. Map view will not be integrateable in pages, but you can see the device location in the device info widget.
