SecureEdge Pro firmware release
- Week 44
- Firmware version: 5.1
Frequency
The SecureEdge Pro receives a firmware update ~4 times a year. These release notes can also be found at the bottom at Fleet Manager > Devices > Your device > Info.
Pro features
- You can prevent unauthorized access via the display by configuring a lock code.
Standard features
- 1:1 NAT for WAN and WAN2.
- Network range conflict detection for LAN, WAN, and WAN2.
Improvements
- You can now change the local web interface admin password.
- You can no longer push conflicting networking ranges.
- You no longer need to explicitly expose ports in your Dockerfile.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where the Edge Gateway’s OT/LAN port in WAN2 mode would not use the WAN2 MAC address.
- Fixed an issue where the Edge Gateway’s OT/LAN port could revert to LAN mode when WAN2 was configured with DHCP, but no DHCP lease could be obtained after some time.
- Fixed an issue where port 1883 was not available for Docker containers.
- Fixed an issue where Docker images in OCI Image Format could not be removed.
- Fixed an issue where the Edge Gateway API Login endpoint would return a 200 instead of a 400 on failed login attempts.
Known issues
- Important: Upgrading from firmware 5.0 to 5.x with the OT/LAN port configured as WAN2 will revert it to LAN mode. Unplug this port before upgrading the firmware to prevent rogue DHCP issues.
- You cannot use ICMP for 1:1 NAT rules. Only TCP and UDP are supported. Option “All” applies only to TCP and UDP.
- When a network cable is unplugged, the display, local web interface and IXON Cloud may not report all information for that port.
- The display will always show “Connected” when a static WAN IP is configured, even if no cable is plugged in.
