Features
- The Document Management app is improved with the following functionalities:
- It is now possible to filter on categories
- It is now possible to select a category when uploading files
- The path of a file is shown in the title of document management UI component
Improvements
- Configuring your Apps just got a whole lot smoother!
- For App developers:
- Developer-provided defaults: Developers can now include default configurations. This means less guesswork during setup and a higher likelihood of a correct initial configuration for your Apps.
- Public configuration with direct access for UI Components: You can now mark your App’s configuration as ‘Public’. These configurations can be accessed directly by your UI Components, eliminating the need to develop separate Cloud Functions for this purpose. This simplifies development and reduces overhead.
- For Administrators:
- Human-readable YAML: We’ve adopted the YAML format for App configurations. Its clear syntax makes it easier to understand and modify settings. Plus, you can now add comments to keep track of your changes and document different sections.
- Audit Trail for Public Configurations: Changes to App configurations marked as ‘Public’ by developers are now automatically logged in the Audit trail, providing a clear history of modifications to non-sensitive settings for better oversight and troubleshooting.
